Location: the hotel was really close to the historical, a tree lined boulevard and the historical sights. The service was all in all attentive. We had an excellent time here and would stay here again.

clean, situated near two metro lines' stations; there are four metro lines in the city all together
neibourhood not at all lively in the evenings; banks, offices and overpriced restaurants; no information about the hotel's sauna....we didn't even know if it was ment to be used at all

There was one staff at the door who was very polite in a good and profesional way. He covered actually all the rest of...
The bed matress was ever so hard and the noise of water running from upstairs did not suit the quality of the hotel.

We were trapped in Europe by the volcanic ash cloud, and were travelling cross country to return to the UK. We stopped for one night in Hotel Aviz, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Dinner was wonderful and our two sons, despite the lack of anything that looked like a cheeseburger, rated the meal as the best of the holiday - quite an accolade!

The staff was extremely helpful & friendly. We were up-graded to a suite at no extra cost...something not requested, but much appreciated. The location was perfect. We highly recommend the hotel Aviz and would stay there again. Also...delicious breakfast (included with the room price)

We loved classic room provided with the microwave, an extremely comfortable bed plus nice size bathroom. The location in a central area was perfect and there were the main shopping centre and a shopping street nearby.

The place is lovely small and quirky and has INCREDIBLE location to the historic city center. Very attentive hotel staff at the reception desk, everything was really good. The rooms are well-equipped and beautifully maintained here with the microwave, a fantastic bed. Great to have an in-house restaurant on the premises.

The hotel staff were amazing. Exceptionally courteous and polite. Even though the majority of the city had escaped to the south for their own holiday and it was on a Sunday evening when I arrived, the staff was well versed in the city life and made a fabulous recommendation to the fado house "Cafe Luso." The actual room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was fabulous and the overall ambiance of the hotel was truly charming. The hotel is also at a wonderful location in the heart of the city and close to the airport. Great place for business travelers or people whom appreciate a sense of history as the hotel has a very interesting past.
I thought that the continental breakfast was already included in the price of the hotel but I had been charged an additional separate 12 euros for the meal. It was worth the price but I was under the initial impression that this was already covered with the original room rate.

Nice quiet hotel. Competent staff - unobtrusive, but there when you need them. We were suffering from jetlag on our first night so they opened the bar just for us so we could enjoy bar snacks and coffee.

This room was very quiet while the hotel is in the town center. Cleaniness, breakfast, equipments are very good. We were here in november, the price was low, so the ratio cost/service was excellent

The hotel had a prime location near the metro and main attractions, which made exploring the city easy. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the rooftop pool was enjoyable. The restaurant's menu felt a bit limited, and some may miss the charm of the old hotel.
